SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Social Management is the 2nd Pillar for Aethra, and aims to attain continuous programs for the development of social practices in the communities it influences (collaborators, customers, suppliers and society). With this in mind, Aethra has a policy of social action and highlights some of the actions carried out on the communities:

  • Design Qualification and Vocational Rehabilitation
  • The Project is directed for qualifying candidates for the labor market, covering the areas of: Strategic Management, IT, Industrial Processes, Management Information System, Behavioral, among others. The project aims to contribute to the generation of job opportunities and income for the youth. Since its implantation, the project has achieved 1,688 candidates distributed in 221 study classes, either with Aethras own resources and governmental FAT (Fund for Workers Aid).

  • Tree of Life Project
  • The "Tree of Life Project," seeks to promote, together with its partners, the reduction of illiteracy and poverty in the Jardim Terezpolis community in Betim-MG of about 30,000 residents.   • Knowledge Donation
  • The project takes place annually, and Aethra seeks to rescue important features in the cultural and social development of its employees: the habit of reading and the solidarity. Taking the most out of Book day, the program collects used books in order to be donated to specific institutions that may promote greater access for children and teenagers to the reading practice.

  • Solidary Christmas
  • The Project: Solidarity Christmas occurs annually and seeks to legitimize solidarity in Aethra. The campaign relies on voluntary participation by employees in collecting donations of clothing, toys and food, providing a better Christmas to destitute communities nearby Aethra production units.

  • Handicapped Capacitation Program: Working without limits.
  • Since 2007, Aethra has established a partnership with SENAI Minas to provide capacitation courses to their collaborators with physical disabilities. In March 2010, Aethra started to provide preparatory courses for new employees who are physically handicapped on Industrial Operation and Maintenance. The goal is to promote social inclusion of handicapped workers in the labor market. After completing the course, candidates are usually hired by Aethra. In order to participate in the selection process it is required first to submit the Curriculum.

  • Project Worker Education: Educate to Work - Work to Grow
  • The project began in 1996 in Contagem-MG. Already in the first four years of existence, 2,892 persons were attended, including employees, family members, service providers and community members. Recognized by its seriousness and notoriety, this project has been awarded in the private company category, in accordance with regulations of the Education for the Work Quality, organized by MEC - Ministry of Education and Culture.

  • Industrial Apprenticement:

  • Aethra contributes to the technical and professional qualification of young people and enhances the possibilities of those in entering the labor market, besides making a more promising future for the new generation. The program conforms with Law no. 10.097 of 19/12/2000, Law 11.180 of 23/09/2005 and Decree 5.598 of 01/12/05, namely: Ensures to persons older than fourteen and to younger than twenty-four years, enrolled in a program of apprenticement, methodical technical and professional formation, compatible with their physical, moral and psychological development, and the apprentice, to perform with dedication an diligence, the tasks of this formation.

  • Program Sunday at the Movies
  • Movie session in the auditorium of the company to employees and their families as a means of integration and a healthy family entertainment.

  • AETHRA Partnerships:
  • The company offers development opportunities to employees through contract agreed with the SESI / SENAI for skills training focused in the productive area. Aethra also encourages the employees qualification through partnerships with universities, colleges and research centers with formalized partnerships.

  • Projects Sponsored by AETHRA
  • Incentive to Film Production (Project Mortal Negotiation); Brazilian Song in Europe; National Championship of Shuttlecock Amateur Sport; Federal Police Olympics in Macei, Alagoas, Cultural Support to Music Production in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Cruzeiro Sport Club, the Harpsichord in Brazil Three Generations.

  • Integration Program of AETHRA
  • Annually, Aethra promotes confraternization events for the Labor Day, Brazilians June folkloric celebrations as well as Christmas, with the presence of its service providers, employees and their families.

  • Donations Program
    • Minas State Solidarity: Donation of food and clothing for the homeless.
    • Joy Donation: Donation to Nurseries Playground.
    • Donation of Knowledge: Donation of books for children and adolescents.
    • AETHRA Childhood Care: Donations of toys, food, clothing and personal hygiene supplies at Christmas.
    • Christmas Without Hunger: Attainment of a Christmas Feast for destitute children.
